J.E.Y.L      November 16-18, 2012
Hardtner Camp and Conference Center .
J.E.Y.L is a middle school retreat for grades 6th – 8th

J.E.Y.L.'s theme is: Being Super Heroes: Follow Christ's example of Love

Let’s face it, middle school is tough. Lots of changes, demanding academic and athletic commitments, all while trying to figure out how you fit with your other teen and pre-teen friends. It can be exhausting. Sometimes, you just need a break; a time where you can just hang out with friends, play games, maybe ask one of those questions about God, that has been rattling around in your head, and start to grow in your relationship with Christ.
We have all been there. It is for this very reason we have the J.E.Y.L. weekend; to have a chance to take a break at the most wonderful place in the world, Camp Hardtner, and enjoy a weekend away from all those middle school demands.
JEYL is a retreat for middle school youth. It is staffed by adults, college students, and high school youth.

Registration/drop off begins at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, November 16

C.L.E.Y.     February 15-17, 2013
Hardtner Camp and Conference Center

C.L.E.Y. is a
High School Retreat (Grades 9th-12th)

This year's theme: C.L.E.Y.: A Lenten Adventure.

So those in the KNOW, know that Hardtner is the best. They have all had great memories and formed even greater friendships. The times shared at camp and at retreats become some of those invaluable treasures that we hold on to, so dearly, for the rest of our lives. We want you to add to those memories with the C.L.E.Y. retreat.
This high school retreat is a great way to “have a little camp” during the year. It is a time to reunite with camp friends, to introduce other friends to Hardtner, to just get away from the stress and hustle of high school.

C.L.E.Y. is a retreat for high school youth, which is staffed by adult and college leaders.

This year we are diving into Lent and what Lent means to our high school youth with a reflective experience at Hardtner. We will look at how we worship, what “refills our spiritual tanks”, how to push back when our everyday lives push into our spiritual discipline, and how to prepare for Easter with prayer, mediation, and focus.

Registration/drop off begins at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 15
Pick up is at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 17.

Staff stays later to meet and clean up

Happening #51      March 1-3, 2013
Hardtner Camp and Conference Center

Happening is a High School Retreat (Grades 9th-12th)

WHAT HAS CHRISTIANITY GOT TO DO WITH A TEENAGER’S WORLD TODAY? HOW CAN THE CHURCH SPEAK TO TODAY’S YOUTH? HAPPENING POINTS TO AN ANSWER…

HAPPENING is one of those things that must be experienced to be fully understood. During the three-day weekend, the participants spend time seriously considering the person and teaching of Jesus Christ in a relaxed, fun, informal and loving atmosphere. They are provided with opportunities to share, discuss, learn and live with fellow Christians in an environment of acceptance and understanding.    HAPPENING is not a new form of spirituality, nor is it just another weekend retreat. It is a personal encounter with the living Christ as expressed in the traditions of the Episcopal Church. Hopefully, those who attend a Happening will join those who have gone before them in their desire to serve the Church, to continue in their commitment to Christ and to look for further opportunities to share with others what they have lived and learned.
Any high school student in the 9th through 12th grade may attend Happening. A small number of adults are also allowed to attend as participants in the weekend.    Adults who attend must be at least 21.
Happening is not limited to Episcopalians, but the number of non-Episcopalians is restricted.

The staff of a Happening is made up primarily of teenagers who lead the weekend and take care of the Happeners. The adults are logistical support; acting as cooks and chaperones, or they may be attending as Happeners themselves. Priests are present on the weekend as Spiritual Directors, giving some of the addresses and serving as chaplains.

Day Meeting – January 12, 2013
