Worship Leader workshop set for Saturday, May 6 at
Good Shepherd in Lake Charles

The Diocese will conduct a Worship Leader training workshop Saturday, May 9 at Church of the Good Shepherd in Lake Charles.
"Those who should attend are persons who are already serving as worship leaders, as eucharistic ministers, eucharistic visitors, and those who are considering these types of service in the future," said Canon Jim Boyd, VGEC, who is conducting the workshop. Four workshops of this type have been conducted in other convocations of the diocese. This workshop was to be held in the Lake Charles Convocation last fall, but was rescheduled for this time because of a scheduling conflict.
"Our goal for these gatherings has been to improve skills and help create a little more uniformity in the way liturgy is done in the diocese." Participants will be eligible for a 3-year license upon recommendation by their priest to the Bishop. Those unable to attend one of the 4 sessions already held, should plan to attend the Lake Charles session. Provisions for lunch will be made for all who register to attend.
Please contact Good Shepherd at 337/433-5244 to register.
