students. Pre-K4 and Kindergarten students have a full-day program. After
school care is provided each day.
Our main campus is located at Ascension Church, in the
heart of Lafayette, near the University of Louisiana campus and houses students
in grades 1-7. We begin each school day with Chapel and our hours are
7:30 a.m.until 2:30 p.m. with after school care provided until 5:30 p.m. The
program strives to maximize each student's potential in a teaching environment
that is exciting, challenging and fun.
Our Sugar Mill Pond campus is located at 1800 Chemin Metairie

are able to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to successfully
compete in postsecondary institutions and to succeed in today's workforce.
Students leave Ascension prepared for college with the ability to think creatively
and critically.

ESA holds as its basic purpose the development of an academic
environment in which a student’s intellectual, emotional, social and physical
growth are accompanied by a corresponding spiritual and moral growth. We are
an Episcopal school, a community which professes the Christian Faith as stated
in the Apostles’ and Nicene Creeds.
The school provides opportunities for each student to achieve
self-fulfillment as an individual and as a member of a community. Activities
in and out of the classroom help students to recognize the need for self-discipline,
a sense of citizenship within the democratic process, and the development
of their spiritual dimension and moral responsibilities.
Episcopal School of Acadiana seeks to instill in each student
self-confidence, an awareness of one’s relationship to God and man, and a
continuing development of mind, body and spirit.

St. Mark's Cathedral School concentrates its concerns on the personal
growth of
each studentbody, mind and spirit. To this end the school strives for
a balanced
emphasis upon the academic, athletic and aestheticthe sensory, social
and
spiritualin an environment conducive to the highest achievement possible
taking into consideration each individual's abilities. It is our responsibility
to work in cooperation with the families as we teach their children to meet
resonsibilities, be considerate of others, face up to challenges, discipline
themselves and develop lifelong habits of industry that will prepare them
for further education and productive lives.
As an academic institution, the school is committed to providing
learning experiences that are lively, rigorous and beyond the norm. The curriculum
is comprehensive and is routinely challenged to ensure its continued ability
to provide enrichment beyond the essentials. Beginning with Scarecrow Day
in Pre-School, growing to "pignics," metamorphic pancakes, and economic
fairs in the lower grades and culminating with a year-long study of the water
quality of Cross Lake for a Science Olympiad project in Middle School, the
academic atmosphere is stimulating. Ultimately, it is our goal to serve as
a meaningful prelude for the future, a future full of unknowns and yet embraced
with faith and confidence by those who have passed through St. Mark's Cathedral
School.
St. Mark's Cathedral School is a member of and is accredited
by SAES (Southwestern Associaton of Episcopal Schools) and is approved by
the State of Louisiana.
